My research focuses on the study of individual differences variables and their role in determining important work-related behaviors and outcomes. I am interested in how to best measure personality and cognitive ability among job applicants and employees, and how to use such assessments in personnel decision making in a fair and valid manner. On the criterion side, my research program focuses on the measurement and prediction of nontraditional performance constructs—most notably counterproductive work behaviors, innovation, and employee pro-environmental behaviors—as well as employee career development among managers and executives.
